This makes it harder to get into fat burning mode

One of the core components of my program The Burnout Fix for Weight Loss is consistently ensuring blood sugar is balanced throughout the day and evening.

Because when your blood sugar is constantly going up and down, it becomes incredibly difficult for the body to shift into fat-burning mode. Instead, your body remains stuck in fat storage — and this often shows up as increased weight around the middle, especially after menopause.

But it’s not just about weight gain.

When you’re on this rollercoaster of blood sugar spikes and crashes, you might also experience:

  • Energy dips and fatigue

  • Increased irritability or anxiety

  • Intense cravings for sugar, carbs, salt, or alcohol

And so the cycle continues.

That’s why balancing meals is at the very heart of getting this right — and of course, we start with food.

But here’s what’s really important to know: Even when you’re eating well, other lifestyle factors can still disrupt your blood sugar balance.

Things like poor sleep, stress, over-exercising, under-eating, or going too long between meals can all keep your body in fat-storage mode — and that’s why it can be so disheartening to feel like you're “doing everything right” and still not seeing results.

In my latest training, I share what I see most often in women who are trying hard, but not making progress — and how to break the cycle.
